Submission Deadline: September 1, 2000
Robots are expected to play important roles
in the medical field. Application of robotics
brings the new technology in medical surgery,
medical research, medical instrumentations,
rehabilitation, and prosthesis. In biorobotics,
biological signals can be used for control
of robots, or robots can be used to support
human motion. In medical robotics, robots
can be used for medical surgery, rehabilitation,
physiological simulation, etc. Progress in
this field gives us a lot of benefit in our
daily life. This special issue is planned
to discuss the emerging technology and the
future perspectives of the biorobotics and
the medical robotics. The topics may include,
but are not limited to:

・ Robotic Surgery
・ Biorobotics
・ Advanced Medical lnstrumentations
・ Robotics in Rehabilitation
・ Physiological Simulator
・ Robotic Prosthesis
